U`dali Horse Rescue in Tennessee is still dedicated to the rehabilitation, rescue and re-homing of horses in the central and western Tennessee area. We still offer owners intervention on behalf of horses in need with financial aid and intake to re-home programs. Our goal is to keep horses that really do have loving owners in their homes if possible or relieve the financial stress upon the owner through the intake/re-homing. We do not search or process for prosecution abuse cases, instead we offer a legal abuse report network to the proper authorities in the area. U`dali does not ignore or turn a blind eye to outright cases of abuse and will report such findings to the proper authorities for action. The goal is "what is best for the horse". If you know of an abuse or neglect case you may report it on the "How You Can Help" page of this site, under the report section of that page. Things are getting financially tough, let's work together to keep horses safe, loved, fed and healthy.
Well after a bit of winter, U`dali has come through it with our babies okay and we are heading for our first anniversary in June. You have noticed our website has been down (and has moved to this new location) it was due to the number of persons needing assistance with horses and not having the money or room for more intakes . We thought it best to "blackout" for a bit since we have a hard time saying "NO" and the ones we have come first.
No worries though, Mya and Ember are fabulous. Mya still waits for an adoptive home and Ember still is the playful, mischievous mascot I knew she would be and loves to give rides to my three-year-old grand daughter RiLey. Shadow found a loving new home in December in Ohio, with a supporter that had been loving her since she first showed up on our first site. The choice to "blackout" for a while was hard but it seems to have been the right one since we had little donation support to intake any more at that time and only enough personal money to take care of the ones we had. That's right folks! the president of U`dali has been footing the bills out of her own pocket! The website was the equivalent of one bag of feed for a senior horse (MYA age 12) so you know what I chose.
So if you still want to help (which we would really appreciate) please contact us here at the website or by phone.
Well with the new FREE website up (I am still building it as you read this so come back and keep in touch) and summer on our heals, I hope great things for U`dali's first year anniversary in June. We are still here, still trying to do our work as planned and still depending on help from others. I will keep the website pages churning out until it's what it once was. Til then here are the last pictures I have of our three first " girls".
SHADOW IN AUGUST '08
MYA IN JULY '08
and our goofball Ember will have pictures of her doing what she loves best (getting filthy!) on her OWN mascot page.
Yours faithfully still U`dali President
